The most beautiful thing I've crafted, so far...
Hand stitched, and hand bound from luxurious materials to last longer than a lifetime.
A wonderfully rich leather bound sensory experience
24 carat gold leaf speckled edges
Three reference ribbons and white headbanding
Indian Goat Suede inside covers
Hand marbled artisan decorative endpapers
216 pages of beautiful acid-free 130 gsm paper
Tonally complimenting fly leaves
Hand stitched with French linen thread
The end result took over a hundred hours to create
I appreciate you may admire how fine a thing this is, but I'm not available for commissions as this is something I do because I love it.
I've got a mate who keeps telling me I could sell these things, yeah, sure I could but taking orders and binding commercially would kill the love I have of doing it, it's a creative thing, not a currency thing and the moment it becomes a currency thing, the desire to create dies.
To have the mists of the mind clear and reveal a previously unseen image, something that doesn't exist exept in thought-form alone, and think it through to such a degree I can feel it; smell it and admire it with great clarity in my mind's eye is the first step, then I set about the steps to make that nental vision manifest into reality.
That's why I do it, as well as for the reactions from people when I gift them my handmade goods!
Quit putting a goddamn dollar sign on every fucking thing on this planet.
